Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología (UTEC) has two ideal campuses to help your knowledge evolve and to grow your passion for science.
The main campus is located in Barranco: from its modern “vertical campus” inspired infrastructure, students have an inspiring view of the Pacific Ocean and the Lima promenade. In addition to classrooms, this campus contains 31 laboratories and workshop facilities, each equipped with the most technologically advanced tools and machines to ensure that students are properly trained to use the equipment they will encounter in their professional careers.
The design of this campus, which evokes the shape of a cascading cliff with terrace-like walkways, was the winning proposal submitted by an Irish firm, Grafton Architects, and was selected from hundreds of designs in response to the international competition organized by UTEC’s founders. The purpose of the competition was to ensure that the campus embodied the spirit in which the institution was built; that it be novel, inspiring, innovative, and anarchitectural landmark in Lima. The design has received international recognition, and was awarded the prestigious Silver Lion at the 2012 Venice Biennale, one of the most highly esteemed awards in the world of architecture. UTEC’s is one of the most modern, state-of-the-art campuses not just in Latin America, but the world over. Why not study in a campus where engineering truly comes to life?
UTEC’s second campus, located in Santa Anita, serves as the perfect complement to its impressive counterpart in Barranco, and provides students with access to lab equipment and tools in addition to those available in the main campus.
Enjoy UTEC campus, contains 31 laboratories and workshop facilities, each equipped with the most technologically advanced tools and machines to ensure that students are properly trained to use the equipment they will encounter in their professional careers.
The new campus in Barranco campus has 31 laboratories, equipped with the latest technology for each of our 5 undergraduate programs. For example, a 3D Objet 30 printer that prints resin for prototyping in a material similar to polypropylene, resistant to high temperatures. Another case is the Electronic Engineering Lab, which will feature several modules called Programmable Systems on a Chip (PSoC) which will be used in the Microprocessors and Microcontrollers course. This is cutting edge technology that allows for programming small computers in a finely tailored manner, in a single component, with enormous flexibility, according to project needs in a very advanced form. It is also important to mention the complex training system for the generation, transmission, distribution and management of electrical energy, called Electrical Power Enegineering, Trainers Smart Grid, which owns measuring instruments with different interfaces for communication and control elements. With it, students can perform advanced research work in the laboratory and virtually.
In this way, you will have the environments and tools appropriate for you to put your ingenuity into action.
