  • Does UTEC have a job bank?

    Because of short time that the university has been in operation, there are still no graduates or students who have passed the fourth semester of studies. This is why we have no job bank presently. Nevertheless, the job bank is a core project that we are on the process of implementing, as part of our commitment to offer you the best opportunities for your professional development.

  • What is UTEC’s relationship with TECSUP?

    ​Although both educational institutions belong to the Hochschild Mining Group, UTEC is an independent institution, meaning that with exception of some administrative departments, the staff of these two institutions is separate and governs under its own guidelines.

  • How much is the monthly tuition fee?

    The monthly tuition fee is calculated in terms of the number of credits that the student is taking on that semester and to the payment scale that was assigned to him or her at the moment of admittance. You can find more detailed information here.

  • Are there any other types of financing or payment facilities?

    Yes, there is the option of doing payments in installments.

  • Does UTEC have a reclassification system?

    Yes, we have a reclassification system; which is based on an evaluation of the different aspects of the socioeconomic situation of the student, so we can determine the new corresponding payment scale.

  • Do you have scholarship programs?

    Yes, after the second year of studies.

  • I would like to transfer to UTEC, what is the process?

    The External Transfer method of admission requires the fulfillment of some requirements. The first one and the most important is that you are a university student, and that you have approved at least 36 academic credits at the university of origin. Once you have fulfilled this requirement, you will need to get all the documents that are needed to apply. Learn more about the External Transfer method here.

  • Does UTEC offer academic programs for people who work during the day?

    Executive Education offers specialized courses, courses and seminars.

  • Which one is the best admissions method for me, the Pre University Study Center or the Admissions Exam?

    It depends on your needs. The benefit of the Pre University Study Center is that it not only prepares you for admittance to UTEC; it also helps your professional development for the oncoming 5 years of your career. The UTEC Prep Course is known for using the same methodology as an undergraduate career: active learning and holistic training. Active learning consists in developing research and practical application work to grow the theoretical knowledge, while strengthening talent and ingenuity. Students of the UTEC Prep Course develop a technology project the same way they would do as undergraduate students. As a part of their holistic training, students will take humanities, management, communications, and language courses, in order to develop critical thinking and be trained as comprehensive professionals. On the other hand, if you choose the Admissions Exam, your preparation is more flexible. You can choose between studying by yourself or enrolling in an academy of your choice. There are not only two methods of admission to UTEC, but six so you can choose the one that fits you better. Learn more about them here.

  • Where do I go to class for the Pre-University Study Center?

    At UTEC Barranco: Jr. Medrano Silva 165, Barranco, Lima-Peru.

  • Is there a mid-year admissions process?

    This year we will have two admissions process, the first will be March 4. The second will be the twentieth of July.

  • What topics are covered in the Regular Admissions Test?

    You may download the contents sheet here. At the moment, we only offer a Spansih version of the contents sheet.

  • Do I need to register in person or can I send someone else?

    Remember that you need to send the pre-registration form through the website beforehand. Then, if you are an underage, you must come with one of your parents or your proxy. If you are over 18 years old you can come by yourself or you can send someone else. In both cases, you and also your parents or proxy, need to bring an official ID.

  • Where is the campus located?

    At this moment classes are given at the Barranco Campus, located at Jr. Medrano Silva 165, Barranco
