UTEC and Universidad de Salamanca sign student exchange agreement.

Seeking to reinforce its educational and research activities, the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) announced the signing of an International Cooperative Agreement with Universidad de Salamanca (USAL) of Spain, one of the most renowned Universities in Spain and the oldest in all of Europe. 

This agreement will give UTEC undergraduate program students access to student exchange programs, educational encounters, attend seminars and workshops, without neglecting the social and sport activities that contribute to the professional and personal education and growth of an engineering degree graduate of this academic institution.

Moreover, annually, the agreement allows for four UTEC and USAL Undergraduate Students to receive the “Beca Iberoamérica Estudiantes de Grado” (Ibero-American Undergraduate Degree Program Student Scholarship) from Banco Santander. The purpose of this financial grant is to reinforce academic movement and student exchange with the Universidad de Salamanca.

Carlos Heeren, UTEC Executive Director and Angeles Serrano Garcia, Vice President of Internationalization at Universidad de Salamanca, officially signed the agreement. “We have selected the most globally renowned universities to help achieve the optimum growth and development of the engineers we are educating.  We are very pleased to make this agreement with Universidad de Salamanca a reality, inasmuch as it will be educationally rewarding for our students”, declared  Carlos Heeren, Executive Director at UTEC.
