Fulbright Commission and UTEC sign academic exchange agreement

With the purpose of continuously seeking academic excellence, the Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología (UTEC) has signed an agreement with the Fulbright Commission.The purpose of this Inter-institutional Cooperation agreement is to develop academic exchange programs such as academic advice provided by top rated American universities and to promote scholarships for UTEC teaching faculty to pursue graduate studies in the United States of America.The programs that American professors will implement at UTEC involve two forms of academic assistance: short term (Senior Specialist) for a 6-week period, and long term (US Scholars) for a period of one full academic semester.“The Fulbright Commission is searching for strategic partners to help improve the quality of Peruvian education in science and technology. In this context, UTEC is a natural partner. It has an innovative educational model, and for this reason we are interested in forging a strategic partnership with them”, explains Henry Harman Guerra, Fulbright Commission representative.On his own part, Mario Rivera, Executive Director at UTEC, sustained that this agreement enables us to strengthen ties between UTEC and different universities in the United States through academic exchange.
