Enrollment begins at our Pre University Center

With the purpose of offering an option for direct admission and to select the best students, enrollment began at our Pre University Center. Under this admission and learning option, students undergo a different experience from the very first day of classes. With the active learning methodology employed they are able to develop higher levels of cognitive thinking by engaging in real life projects and research, thus being better prepared to achieve the learning objectives of each academic engineering program at the start of their university degree studies. In addition, the Pre University Center focuses on clarifying student vocations, developing skills, and introducing students to a creative, practical, and tangible approach to engineering.  In the opinion of Daniel Mendiburu, Director of the University Preparatory Center, leadership must be accompanied by values -the search for common good being an ongoing objective- as well as the respect for the environment in each and every venture.  For this reason, the concept integrates engineering knowledge and skills with competences in management and leadership.At Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología (UTEC) we believe that fast paced knowledge growth opens the door to the potential for having a richer variety of experiences to develop leadership.  This is why leadership forms part of the curricula in the different engineering programs taught at UTEC.  What we are aiming for is to shape leaders who perform research and discover real solutions to real problems through engineering.  Classes start on August 12th, 2013.
