UTEC welcomes its new students

Acknowledging its commitment and dedication to its undergraduates, Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología (UTEC) welcomed its new students, who took part in a series of activities in which they learned all about their careers and the different services and activities they encompass in order to become educated as renowned and creative professionals who perform exceptional quality work.The new students were received by UTEC’s academic officials, and, by doing so, launched the beginning of a promising college life. The welcoming address was given by Juan Incháustegui Vargas and Mario Rivera Orams, both professional engineers and board members at this Higher Education Institution.During the orientation and reception period, the newly admitted students participated in panel discussions on engineering education and the vision that engineers of the future require; in addition, students were handed a copy of their curricula, the rules and regulations, along with a personal skills assessment.Addressing the new students, Incháustegui encouraged them to “live their university experience with a good deal of courage and motivation”. “Don’t let anything pass you by and make the most of everything, but in particular, prepare yourself to become good future professionals”, he stated.
