Competition and fun during UTEC University Week

Between October 29th and November 2nd, the undergraduate students had some fun filled experiences within the framework of University Week, where they lived through days packed with sports competitions, other contests in short stories, photography, and robotics and keynote speeches delivered by prominent experts. Over the course of the five-day event, the UTEC family shared a series of recreational activities that helped integrate UTEC students and officials.On one hand, students were fascinated by a presentation given by the well known scientific writer, Tomás Unger, who brought them the story of the automobile. This was complemented with a test-drive performed by some attendants in an electric car being promoted by Mitsubishi.Competition and fun during UTEC University WeekAnd as is fitting, the university authorities were also in attendance, including Juan Incháustegui Vice Chairman of the Board and Hernan Montes, Chairman of the Organizing Committee who competed in the final matches of “Fronton” with great results.The overall winners of the day were the guys from Industrial Engineering, who received the top awards in the categories of talent, photography, sports supporters, and a number of sports competitions.
