Potable Water Generating Billboard
The University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC), believes that the world can be changed through engineering. So to draw students' attention during our application period, we did exactly that. We changed our world, even if just a bit.
Together with our advertising agency, Mayo Draft FCB, we created an outdoor idea that offered a real solution to a real problem: the lack of pure drinking water here in Peru.
In Lima, the world's second largest desert capital, there is very little rain, but the atmospheric humidity is about 98%.
The idea of turning this moisture into drinking water changed the lives of hundreds of families and attracted the attention of young students who saw that engineering can help make a difference in the world.
We will continue changing the world through engineering.
