MRS University Chapter Program inaugurated at UTEC

UTEC is joining this network of passionate and ingenious university students from around the world, sponsored by MRS (The Materials Research Society). MRS is an international community that encourages interdisciplinary cooperation.The inaugural ceremony was chaired by Fernando Torres García, Ph. D. last August 12th in the UTEC’s main auditorium, where he said that “this program encourages and promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and an open exchange of knowledge and ideas through different scientific disciplines, expanding knowledge at many college campuses on different continents".With this agreement, an important group of talented youth from the university can devote its efforts to developing a series of special projects and connect themselves with global experts who will help them to build a solid professional future, while strengthening their leadership role within the global community.Another essential objective of the University Chapter Program is to extract knowledge from the laboratories and classrooms and bring it into real life scenarios, showing how materials can change our story, using new, innovative and cutting edge technologies. Help us build the future.     The new Peruvian students educated at UTEC joining this program represent a new generation of researchers who prepare themselves to improve materials and along with it, the quality of life of people.
