The “21st century Concrete” conference, organized by the Civil Engineering career program alongside Cementos Pacasmayo, was held in UTEC on March 15th and had Roberto Torrent, an Argentinean material technology expert as its main lecturer.
Because of its different applications and formats, concrete is the most versatile construction material, and that’s why it is fundamental to discuss subjects related to “material engineering”. The conference focused on two of its main issues: sustainability and durability.
Events such as these showcase important issues and allow businesses as much as the academic sector to emphasize subjects related to Civil Engineering and its local and global importance.
