UTEC students in HARVARD and DELAWARE

Thanks to the agreement signed last November with the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, six UTEC students travelled to Cambridge and worked on the development and assessment of new water treatment devices in conjunction with professors and researchers of this prestigious university, globally ranked number one according to the 2014 Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities.  The experience forms part of the Harvard – UTEC Cooperation Program and given the successful participation on the part of the students, they received certificates in recognition of the research performed.

Furthermore, two students from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Program, a research professor and a research assistant formed a UTEC entourage that stayed for one month at the University of Delaware in the State of Delaware where they conducted analyses of mineral concentrates. This visit was made possible thanks to the funding that UTEC obtained after being one of the six award winners of the context promoted by UNESCO, in conjunction with the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry  (IUPAC) and the fertilizer company named PhosAgro, where there they sought out projects that promote the use of clean chemical technologies.
