A billboard that combines creativity, innovation, and environmental care is the new proposal of the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC). The billboard that purifies air is capable of purifying 100,000 m3 of urban air per day.The billboard is located between the Bajada Armendáriz and Paseo de la República in Barranco, by the new UTEC campus. It has a purifying system, developed with Peruvian technology that makes it capable of cleaning large volumes of air.Jessica Ruas, Marketing Director at UTEC says, "The purpose of this billlboard is to get young people interested in engineering. It is very aligned with the mission of the university, which consists of training creative engineers that are sensitive to social needs. They will gain a broad scientific knowledge that will enable them to become researchers and find solutions to existing problems in society." "In addition, our goal is to demonstrate that engineering is a part of everything, and a great way to demonstrate this is through advertising that changes the world, helps the community, and cares for the environment," she concluded.Mayo DraftFCB was again commissioned to give life to UTEC's billboard. The agency sought to further spread the message of ingenuity in action, as it did with the "Water-generating billboard." "To take our own ingenuity to action is a great satisfaction because it challenges us on a creative level and it allows us to raise awareness, inspire and innovate in our work as advertisers," said Juan Donalisio, creative director of Mayo FraftFCB. "UTEC is a client that constantly challenges us because their proposals are not traditional. The university represents change, and so its advertising should too. This makes us think of what is impossible to achieve and achieve it."
