Professor Rodríguez- Zúñiga is a research professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Engineering and Technology, her BSc. in Chemical Engineering was obtained from the National University of San Agustín (Arequipa-Perú) and her master's and doctorate degree from the University of São Paulo (USP-Brazil) in partnership with the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company. Prof. Rodríguez- Zúñiga completed postdoctoral internships at the Federal University of São Carlos and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark with research projects related to enzymes for industrial use and use of plant biomass. She started her career as lecturer at the University of São Carlos and at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. She acts in multidisciplinary areas such as spectroscopic analysis, biochemical engineering, biofuels, solid state fermentation, bioprocesses and sustainability. Her scientific contribution is registered in 9 indexed Scopus Journals, more than 10 articles in International Conferences and one book chapter: Characterization, use and generation of new products from agricultural, agro-industrial and urban residues.
