  Knowledge Tuesday: Undergraduate Program Projects

  Yesterday, Thursday November 6th, the finalists and winners of Lo Inimaginable Posible received their awards in an event at the MAC attended by officials of the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) from Lima and family members of the scholars who participated in this grand event. 

• First South American to travel to space talks with high school students

  Carlos Noriega, the first South American to travel to space, and a Peruvian-American astronaut, gave a talk to high school students at the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepción, Roosevelt, and Villa Alarife. The event was facilitated by the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) and the Embassy of the United States. 

• “Lazoo”, Peruvian graffiti enthusiasts and UTEC students carried out an artistic event at the MAC in Lima

  The famous French graffiti artist "Lazoo", a member of the French group "Hip Hop Citoyens" and an engineer by profession, carried out an artistic event on the exterior walls of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) in Barranco along with local graffiti artists, students from Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología (UTEC) and high school students.

  For the 11th consecutive year, the University of New Mexico (UNM, USA) held their annual "STC. UMN Innovation Awards," which recognizes teachers and students who have issued patents or registered copyrights in 2013.

  High school students learn to program NAO robots at UTEC

  In order to show high school students that engineering is exciting, inspiring and capable of driving technological development in Peru, the Universidad de Ingeniería & Tecnología (UTEC) has been conducting "NAO workshops" where students learn to program humanoid robots.

  A billboard that combines creativity, innovation, and environmental care is the new proposal of the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC). The billboard that purifies air is capable of purifying 100,000 m3 of urban air per day.
